BLAKE HOUSE

Carefully curated to fuse colonial period charm with modern comforts

Blake House represents one of the oldest colonial homes in Maryland, built by British settler, Charles Blake, of London, England, in 1691. The house is nestled within 12 acres of manicured gardens, boasting an abundance of indigenous and foreign flora, and surrounded by direct water access to Corsica River. While the estate has been exquisitely modernized to meet the needs of 21st century living, it retains its historic charm. However, the most unique feature of this vacation rental is the Crown and Anchor Inn (circa. 1735), originally located in South Baltimore but moved to the estate in 1941.

The estate boasts limitless amenities to ensure travelers of all ages, sensibilities and sizes are entertained for days and days. Blake House offers an open plan living experience with expansive water views. Blake House has four suite bedrooms (one on the first floor). The grounds offer a 100ft pier with 10,000lb boat lift, outdoor corn hole and bocce ball courts, multiple outdoor dining areas, orchid potting shed, sauna house, fire-pits, lookouts, and nature trails. The Crown and Anchor has a bar, seating, wood burning fireplace, billiards table, fosse ball, and mini dance floor. The Inn has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a viewing platform on the second floor.

Be prepared to immerse yourself in the storybook of Blake House. You will not want to leave this magical place.
